 Now my Primary Kit - Nice Display but no Mac Support January 16, 2010

I've had this new meter for about 6 weeks and it has been great,small,color display, and the USB connection is far easier than keeping up with yet another cable in the writhing mass of gadget cables we all seem to collect. One reviewer says it isn't supported on Windows 7 64 bit but it works fine on my Vista 64 bit system. Does not work on Snow Leopard Mac but big surprise there... The test strips are the usual rip off but if you search Amazon there are mail order vesions of (as far as I can tell) the same test strips for about half the price. I had been using One Touch and was happy except for getting reults into the computer via one off cable they charged for hence move to USB meter.
So all in all only imporvemets I could wish for are Mac Support and an Iphone app to display my results..

Bayer Contour USB August 14, 2010

It took awhile for me to find the right product to test my blood sugar on a regular basis. The Bayer Contour USB was worth the wait. It is extremely compact and portable. I take it wherever I go. It is easy to use. The ability to transfer the stored date to my PC and see a record over time is priceless. You can ad a note to each entry in addition to some of the pre-programmed comments that can be added at the touch of a button. It is well worth the investment.

I have been using this prodect for several days. As I am tech savey and seldom read directions I downloaded the software while my meter was charging. I did not have any of the issues with windows 7 other reviewers have noted. Use is extreemly easy, and I especially like the light around where you put the strip in for use in low light conditions. The lancet provided is one of the best I have ever used - very low pain. As for the software I am impressed. I have used other meters and their software programs and they were not as user friendly or easy to interpret. Yes this meter is expensive, but if you shop around you can get it for $40 or less.
