5 out of 5 stars Use for EMS!!   January 19, 2008

I purchased this product to see how it would work for our ambulance. We are a paramedic unit that for a while would like to carry a medication known as Cardizem. This medication needed to be refrigerated at all times to keep it's shelf life. If it was not refrigerated, it would have to be disposed of within 30 days. Now that we have the Micro-Cooler, we can carry this potentially life-saving medication. It works very well and with the 20 hour coverage of each ice pack, we can change the pack's every shift change (12 hours). Even if there is a late call, the pack will still be good until the crew returns to the station.

4 out of 5 stars Medi - Fridge Micro Cooler Color Red   December 8, 2008

Very functional and much needed item made to keep insulin cool and fresh while traveling. The 20 hour keep-cool feature is the longest time of any other travel coolers I have seen. It's meant to be a gift, and it is a great gift for someone with diabetes. The only problem is I ordered 2 of these, 1 black and 1 red. I received 2 black. Not a big deal, so I didn't complain, but I would have preferred 2 different colors. Comes with 2 freezer packs, which is a plus. A bit pricey, but I think well worth it.

3 out of 5 stars Check the temperature   April 26, 2010

If your medication depends on a specific medication, check out that temperature before you buy this product. My medication must be kept between 36 - 46 degrees Fahrenheit, and I could not get this cooler to cool below 48 degrees.
