| Editorial Reviews:
Product Description The syringe capacity depends on the size of the syringe being disposed of.
Please note that the container is made for disposal of insulin syringes and pen needles only. Other types of syringes do not fit
The rules and regulations regarding sharps disposal may be different in towns and counties around the country, so check with your local sanitation or health department. When the BDTM Home Sharps Container is full, seal it and check with your community how to dispose of it properly. If, as a last resort, you choose to put it in a trash receptacle, do not place it in a recycling bin because insulin syringes, pen needles and lancets are not recyclable.
Instructions For Use
To discard used insulin syringes and lancets:
Drop used insulin syringes and lancets needle-first into opening closest to edge
.
To remove and discard used pen needles:
Do not reshield the needle.
Carefully insert pen tip into center opening at a
45-degree angle and push firmly until pen stops.
Rotate pen to the left several times while applying
continuous forward pressure to loosen pen needle.
Needle will fall into container after pen is removed.
If pen needle gets caught in opening, use pen topush it into the container. Do not use your fingers
or hands.
DO NOT OVERFILL. SEAL CONTAINER WITH
PERMANENT LOCKING LID WHEN FULL.
Discard properly. Follow local trash
ordinances where applicable.
Keep container out of reach of children.

| Customer Reviews: Needle Disposal at Home August 23, 2008 Lee Review 2 out of 3 found this review helpful
If you give yourself injections (insulin, B-12, etc) at home, the Bard Home Sharps Container is a necessity. Disposal of needles requires a safe method of disposal. The thick plastic of the container means that needles will not go through the sides and will be contained, protecting the safety of everyone in the family as well as those who pick up waste. The top closes easily and the red color notifies the city it is medical waste so they can protect their workers who pick up the full container. It is the same high quality as those used in hospitals.
perfect and safe April 13, 2010 Bobby Shumaker (Guadalupe,Ca USA) love it! This is a perfect way to dispose of all of my sensitive diabetic testing supplies(my used test strips and used lancets) as well as my used pen needles.I have grandchildren that come and visit and I am assured of them not coming in contact with these.
Appreciate the Quick Delivery July 9, 2010 Tom M. (California) The vendor sent the product within 2 days after my order. Appreciate the quick delivery. I will consider this vendor for other hard-to-find items related to health care.
FOR INSULIN SYRINGES June 17, 2010 Mercedes Gray (California, USA) I GOT THIS FOR MY HUSBAND. HE'S A DIABETIC AND NEEDED SOMEWHERE TO DISGARD HIS INSULIN NEEDLES AFTER USE. THIS IS PERFECT. WE JUST HAVE TO FIGURE OUT WHERE TO DISGARD THE CONTAINER NOW THAT ITS FULL. I RECOMMEND THIS PRODUCT.
