5 out of 5 stars super convenient, super easy   April 23, 2008

I don't know about other diabetics out there, but after 18 years of diabetes I don't change my lancet every time I poke my finger. This product has made it SO EASY to change needles, without having to carry a little plastic baggy full of lancets. The actual device has a depth-guide as well so rookie and seasoned diabetics alike can choose how far they need the lancet to go into their finger. I would recommend this product to anyone (even curious non-diabetics).

5 out of 5 stars A better solution.   June 27, 2008

Fast, easy, and relatively painless. Adjustable depth settings, and easy changing of the cartridge make the painful part of glucose testing much less of a nuisance. I might someday change meters, but this lancet device takes the aggravation out of the testing process. The device sometimes jams, and won't 'cock', but a few drops on the table from a few inches always solves the problem. I wouldn't even consider any other method currently available. Great product!

These are refills for the Accu-Chek Multiclix lancing device, which is super!!!

No fumbling with individual lancets because of the revolving barrel design, so anytime you need to test, it's easy and quick, very handy on the go. And the depth adjustment is fine enough to give a nearly painless puncture every time. Sometimes it's so gentle I wonder if it actually penetrated, but there comes the little droplet of blood and no need to do it again. I love how simple this is!

5 out of 5 stars Almost painless   August 20, 2009

I agree with all other reviews in that it is most convenient to use and almost painless. The lancing device accompanies with accucheck aviva nano blood glucose monitor (available from amazon.com.uk for about 5 uk pounds) is very economic to add on to your diabetic supplies for a very good cause and use.For that case you can use the aviva nano meter also if you like.In India this lancing device and lancets are still not available readily; so accucheck softclix lancing device and lancets with other accucheck meters eg accucheck active (now obsolete model and the lancing device named accucheck softclix is still no longer manufactured by Roche)or others are in use.Like all other lancing devices you can use one lancet several times before turning to a new one.A box of 204 multiclix lancets and one or two multiclix lancing devices are all you need to get a drop of whole blood for glucose testing.Be aware to press very lightly the device against your finger tips before releasing the yellow button of the pen(ie lancing device)This is applicable for glucometers manufactured by Bayer,One Touch ultra and accucheck as these meters need very small amount of blood for a test. For the meters those need more than 1.5 microliters or so of blood (eg easy gluco blood glucose monitor)set the multiclix pen puncture depth to 2 or 3 at most and do the test as usual.Never press the pen hard or firm (as advised by the printed instructions supplied by the companies) onto your skin because it really hurts.
