No pain... period! November 19, 2008 D. Runski (NY) 10 out of 10 found this review helpful
The Accu-Check is the most pain free device I have used and the bonus is that you never see a needle!!!! The lancet device holds a drum of six pre-loaded lancets. Load it by pulling the cap off the lancet device and inserting a new drum, blue ring first, until it clicks into place. Slide the cap back on. Once a new drum is loaded, simply change the lancet with a twist. There are 6 lines on the side of the pen and each time you use a needle, you twist the pen and a new needle is put into place. Each time you twist for a new needle a line disappears on the pen indicating that you have used a needle and shows how many you have left. This is a great product through and through!
Truly Painless January 21, 2009 JT (Danbury, CT USA) 6 out of 6 found this review helpful
I did a search on the Internet and found this product to be the least painful. Although it is claimed to be the least painful, you never know until you try it. I purchased this item from Amazon and put the setting at 2 (as is recommended for thin to regular skin) and it was just amazing. I pressed the little button to release the needle and it is so painless that I didn't feel a thing. I actually had to look at my finger and see the little bit of blood coming out to notice that it did its job! This is not just less painful, it is painless. Great job Accu-Check for creating this remarkable device.
Learn the using technique fiest March 30, 2009 Prasanta Roy (calcutta,India) 4 out of 4 found this review helpful
I have used several blood glucose meters and lancing devices available therewith.None of these lancing devices are absolutely painless. You need to learn the technique of blood sampling first. In order to get a drop of blood with least discomfort hold the aperture of the device on to your finger tips very lightly just touching the skin without any pressure because pressure always hurts. The release button of softclix and multiclix lancing devices as well as those supplied with one touch ultrasoft blood sampler, easy gluco blood glucose meter and ascensia contour blood glucose system are all quite hard to press and release. So you have to press the device lightly to neutralize the excessive jerk of the spring loaded lancet into your skin.Am I making sense? You can use softclix and multiclix lancets many times before they become really painful. At least 10-20 times each. And similar or less for other lancing devices.Multiclix lancets are covered within a drum like arrangement and safest to use.The cost is very high for lancets and the device(us $59).But they are like one time investment and will last for many more years to come. That is why the 5 star marks.I fully recommend either of these lancing devices to use as blood sampler for everybody's safe and almost painless repeated use.
Excellent Diabetes Lance October 21, 2008 D. Murray 3 out of 3 found this review helpful
I really like this lance. The drum with the needles is great, I like not having to directly handle the needles. This is the easiest lance to use I've tried. I highly recommend it. Also, I've been really impressed with customer service by Accu-Chek (Roche). Recently I had a Multiclix break (after about a year) and they sent me a replacement at no cost.
Magic in ur hands December 14, 2008 D. L. Kandela (Kuwait) 3 out of 3 found this review helpful
Its like magic.. you can adjust the depth. I prefer using it on my index finger - I hardly feel the needle.
I bought 2 - one with the kit and one standby. Now I realise i just dont require the standby - the quality is very good.
